PREPARATION FOR GEORGIA BAR EXAM

Barbara Katz
offers a three-week course on the Georgia
essay and Multistate Performance Test (MPT) exams.
This course is designed to help students maximize their
scores on the Georgia essays and MPT portion of the bar
exam. As part of the course curriculum, students will be assigned
essays and MPTs, and will receive individualized written feedback on
their graded papers. Class time will emphasize the best strategy for approaching the test,
time management, how to
structure the written answers, how to outline the information
provided in the MPT, and synthesize the library into a cohesive
synthesis of the law. Some time will be reserved to help
individual students create a structure for their studies, manage their available time,
and make the best use of the bar review materials at their disposal.
The class will
be held on three consecutive Saturday mornings, January 17, 24, and
31, 2009,
beginning at 9:00 a.m. We will meet as a group for
approximately two hours each week, and then Ms. Katz will hold
office hours to meet individually with students and answer specific
questions they may have that weren't covered during the class.
Students are encouraged to bring study materials with them, so they
can utilize the time until their scheduled individual appointment
with Ms. Katz.
Course tuition is $750.00 and must be paid in advance, by personal check or paypal. Class size is limited to eight students. The
registration deadline is January 9, 2009. To register,
please
email us
and, if there is availability, we will send you a
registration form.
Ms. Katz also
offers private tutoring for the essay and MPT portion of the bar.
However, the three-week course is a prerequisite for any and all
private tutoring.
From 1994 through 2006, Ms. Katz
was the program coordinator and
writing instructor in the Bar Admissions Court of Study, a
Georgia bar review course administered by Georgia State University
School of Law. This course has been suspended indefinitely,
although information about the course may still available at its
web site.
